Anticipating April Aurora

The April edition of Aurora will appear as an insert in The Maitland Mercury, The Singleton Argus, The Manning River Times and The Scone Advocate on Wednesday 4 April and in The Muswellbrook Chronicle on Thursday 5 April. Aurora will then appear in The Newcastle Herald on Saturday 7 April.

However, this is only the transition model!

In May and following months, Aurora will appear in The Newcastle Herald on Saturday 5 May, in the Maitland, Singleton, Taree and Scone papers on Wednesday 9 May and the Muswellbrook on Thursday 10 May. So the pattern will be The Herald first followed by the Manning and Hunter regional papers the following week.

The magazine can also be read online at mnnews.today – your source for local Catholic news in the Hunter. Subscriptions are available here.

The April Aurora features a wrap-up of Catholic Schools Week and a feature article about the benefits of play for children in the early years of school. In My Word, Bishop Bill encapsulates the Easter message and provides some answers to oft-asked questions about the church and money. Fr Frank Brennan SJ AO writes exclusively for Aurora under the banner of “Wisdom in the Square”. John Murray reflects on Anzac Day and Michael O’Connor draws a thought-provoking conclusion from the ordination liturgy of Bishop Brian Mascord – in an entertainment centre! “The cathedral was empty, but the church was fulsome.” All this and so much more in the April Aurora!
