Church in Australia mourns death of Pope Benedict XVI
On Wednesday night, members of our faith community gathered in Sacred Heart Cathedral to farewell Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. The concelebrated mass was an opportunity to mourn, commemorate and celebrate his eternal life.
A Requiem Mass for the Repose of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI will also be hosted in St Peter’s Square tonight from 7.30pm AEDT. It will be presided over by Pope Francis. You can watch a livestream of this on the Vatican News Facebook page, website (https://www.vaticannews.va/en.html) or YouTube (www.youtube.com/vaticannews).
