Now that national themes for discernment have been released for Plenary Council 2020, it is time for prayer and for reflection on each theme.
The Plenary Council 2020 moves into its next phase of preparation today with the announcement of the National Themes for Discernment that emerged from a historic process of listening to the voices of more than 222,000 people.
This is a story that gives me hope.
It’s a story about people power, people’s health and our national sovereign wealth fund.
Prayer, data analysis, and reflection has helped the Plenary Council 2020 process move to create a number of National Themes for Discernment.
Pope Francis has officially approved a revised translation of the missal for Italy which includes a change to the Lord's Prayer that replaces "lead us not into temptation" with "do not let us fall into temptation".
Bishop Bill Wright of the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle has welcomed the release by Catholic Professional Standards Ltd (CPSL) of the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards.
