Primary Public Speaking Competition

The quality of the speeches at this year’s Primary Public Speaking Competition was so amazing in terms of the presentation, structure and content that everyone was a winner.

This because students in kindergarten to Year 6 from across the Diocese impressed the adjudicators with their knowledge of current affairs and the way they clearly articulated values in their speeches.

For the record, the winners of this year’s competition were:

1st Place - Harper Hughes (St Columba’s, Adamstown)

2nd Place - Henry Barnett (St Patrick’s, Lochinvar)

3rd Place - Lillian Argent (St James’, Muswellbrook)

Stage 1 - Topic ‘Getting Along’

1st Place - Jack Slater (St Catherine’s, Singleton)

2nd Place - Charlotte Parker (St Michaels’, Nelson Bay)

3rd Place - Abbey Bennett – (St Joseph’s, Taree)
