World Youth Day Pilgrims to be commissioned on Sunday

This Sunday at the 5pm Mass at Sacred Heart Cathedral, the diocese’s 71 World Youth Day pilgrims will be blessed and commissioned by Dean of the Cathedral, Fr Andrew Doohan, and pilgrimage Chaplain, Fr Greg Barker, after their final formation and planning meeting.

The pilgrims will be joined by family, friends and members of the wider diocesan community on this special occasion. Everyone is welcome to attend this Mass to wish the pilgrims well as they make their final preparations to depart on 14 July.

You are encouraged to follow the journey of the WYD pilgrims as they follow in the footsteps of the saints throughout Italy and Poland.
