Meg Bailey, a past outstanding swimmer for our Diocese, had three of her Diocesan records broken at this meet.

Eva Potts from St Mary’s, Gateshead had an amazing meet, qualifying in 6 events for the NSWCCC Championships. Eva broke the record in the 16yrs 100m freestyle with a time of 59.28. In the 16yrs 50m freestyle she broke a 2011 record with a time of 27.44, and in the 16yrs 50m butterfly she swam a 29.56. Eva broke Jess Collins' record from 2010 in the 200m freestyle with a time of 2:10:86.

Quin Neyland from St Catherine’s, Singleton continued with record breaking swims in the 13yrs 50m backstroke with a time of 33.89, as well as in the 13yrs 100m freestyle with a time of 1:03:03.

Andie Widseth from St Francis Xavier's, Hamilton broke the 17 years+ 200m freestyle record with a time of 2:12:07.

The intermediate girls from St Mary’s, Gateshead broke their own record from the previous year in the 200m freestyle with a time of 2.01:53.

The carnival was well supported by Coast and Valley, school managers, officials and student helpers from San Clemente, Mayfield and St Pius, Adamstown who worked tirelessly to support the event.
