This achievement reflects the adaptability, resilience, and outstanding sportsmanship shown to defeat 1000 other teams from across NSW who also took part in the competition.
The journey to the finals has been long awaited, having competed in the tournament for the past three years. This team is the first from the Upper Hunter Primary Schools to reach the Cup Finals.
Advancing to and playing in the finals has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the team and small school community. They share a passion for netball and to play at Netball Central, a Show court was a significant highlight for them. On top of this they had the opportunity to meet and learn some tips from professional netball players including NSW Swift’s Maddy Turner and Giant’s Matilda McDonell.
Congratulations to the Senior Girls Netball team for this outstanding achievement. We look forward to reporting back on next year’s achievement.
