Organised by the school’s P&F, the day was coordinated by Mrs Cate Pember, a dedicated SFX parent. Mrs Pember and her team organised a challenging obstacle course, with each obstacle requiring students to use different skills such as running, climbing, skipping, crawling and jumping, whilst being doused by a rainbow of colours.
By the end of the course, the students, teachers and parents had all achieved a good work out and plenty of colour too!
The students had numerous turns at the course and all with plenty of smiles and laughs along the way, with some even referring to it as “the best day ever!”
After the Colour Run, everyone enjoyed a BBQ lunch together.
All funds raised on the day will go towards improving school equipment and resources.
Local businesses have donated prizes for the event and all students who returned sponsorship forms have gone into a lucky draw prize that will be drawn in Week 10.
The day was a wonderful and uplifting community event and would not have been possible without the organisation of our committed community at St Francis Xavier’s. The staff and students are truly blessed with the great support we receive from our school and local community members.
