Enrol in a Catholic school
All 11 dioceses across NSW and the ACT are joining together to celebrate the valuable contribution Catholic schools have made to Australian communities.
The theme for CSW 2018 is ‘Catholic schools: Faith in our Future’ which focuses on strengthening relationships between students and their Catholic faith by ensuring that all students - with support from their parents, staff and members of the wider diocesan community - will have every opportunity of realising their full potential.
This will be achieved by access to an education that:
- is delivered by high-quality teaching – so that students have every opportunity to achieve excellence in learning
- is in a faith-based environment and which is based on the witness and message of Jesus Christ – so that students can, for example, learn to help those in the community who are less fortunate than themselves
- gives each student an inquiring minds and the knowledge, values and skills – so that each student will be rigorous and creative in pursuing and contributing to truth and social justice in the future
Catholic Schools Week is a wonderful occasion for students, teachers, families and parishes to acknowledge the strengths and achievements of Catholic schools.
With a tradition of more than 195 years in Australia and record student numbers in our schools across the nation, we have much to commemorate.
This is an ideal opportunity to support your local school community and learn more about the great things that take place in Catholic schools every day.
All families, parents and friends are invited to join in the celebrations by attending some of the planned activities and events at their local Catholic school during this year’s CSW.
