This is the first time Megan has competed in the games, flying with her team to join over 130 athletes for the event.
Megan has only been swimming for a few years now and has been training daily with coaches, Ellena and Judy Brown.
Megan won:
- Silver in 50m freestyle
- Silver in 50m relay
- 4th in 50m backstroke
- Bronze in 50m butterfly
- Silver in basketball.
“This achievement from Megan really captures for us the spirit of everything we do here at St Dom’s,” said principal, Veronica McLoughlin.
“We set high expectations for our students and families. We ask people to work hard and show persistence. We don't accept excuses for not being your best.
“The fact that Megan has achieved such amazing results is testament to her individual tenacity and also the commitment from her family. We are so proud of Megan, of who she is and everything she achieves,” said Mrs McLoughlin.
