Yes, I’ve inverted the diocesan ‘catch cry’. God’s mission comes first. The one body (church) exists to serve that mission. The many parts strengthen the one body, serving in collaborative, loving relationships that respect different skills, gifts, competencies, offices, and ministries, and are focused on forming and empowering the Body of Christ for mission.
