Georgia was shortlisted along with four other nominees across Australia and took home the award at the national PETAA Leading with Literacy Conference in Melbourne.
The award is judged based on the teacher’s commitment to the education profession, the positive impact on students’ learning experiences and outcomes, as well as their commitment to professional development and collaboration with colleagues to address student learning needs.
Georgia is a dedicated and passionate primary school teacher who has been at St Pius X since 2014. She has led the implementation of the Catholic School’s Office’s L!FT initiative (Learning Impact from Teaching) across all stages and as part of this, facilitated the collaboration between St Pius X students and Sami Bayly on the Stolen Heart storybook.
