Catholic Schools Week 2017 - Day 5

Liturgies, open classrooms, family picnics, a school cross country, and the musically talented Andrew Chinn made day five of Catholic Schools Week 2017 a very special one across the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.

The CSO Communications team visited three regions on Thursday, 9 March - the Manning, Lakes and Upper Hunter.

At Joseph's Primary School, Bulahdelah, family and friends gathered together for a special Catholic Schools Week liturgy, followed by open class rooms and morning tea. Soon after, students put on their joggers to run the cross country track around the school.

Andrew Chinn spent the morning strumming away with the students of St James’ Primary School, Muswellbrook, workshopping songs and dance moves for their community concert in the evening.

Whilst down the highway in Denman the students and teachers of St Joseph’s Primary School opened their gates to their parents and community for open classrooms, a barbecue lunch and their Catholic Schools Week liturgy.

By the lake at St Mary’s Primary School, Warners Bay, family and friends were invited to wander through open classrooms to see colourful artworks on the wall and class activities, followed by a delicious pizza lunch in the playground.
