Family Celebrations
As we have slowly moved out of a period of isolation, we have welcomed opportunities to gather with family and friends. Recently two events within the Diocese have seen people come together to celebrate during the Easter season.
FAITH MATTERS: The Teaching of Kindness is on her Tongue
Before our eldest child was born, I read voraciously about how to be a good mother – I was determined to do the best job I could!
FAITH MATTERS: The Soldier
Writing this piece on the eve of Anzac Day I am filled with mixed emotions. Tomorrow we wake up before the sun sunrises and gather to pay respect to those who have sacrificed their lives to war.
FAITH MATTERS: Sacred and the secular

FAITH MATTERS: Don't be afraid to speak
Gloria Peacock from St. Joseph’s Parish, Kilaben Bay, Toronto, was inspired by the words "Don’t be afraid to speak. Be afraid of what will happen to the whole truth if you don’t" from Sr Joan Chittister and speaks of how this value and an ecumenical outlook, has played out in her own faith journey.
FAITH MATTERS: Art and Faith
During the second week of Lent as we savour the scripture of the Transfiguration, I cannot help but think how this transformational experience for the disciples is much like creating a work of art.
FAITH MATTERS: A journey to full communion
As the beginning of Lent is approaching, this has led me to remember my time at the Rite of Election and becoming a Catholic.
FAITH MATTERS: Share the love of learning
Valentine’s Day is one that so often divides opinion. Some see it as a cliched day that crassly commercialises ‘romantic love’, while others take the opportunity to outwardly acknowledge and celebrate their feelings with flowers, cards, extravagant gifts, and special dinners.
