FAITH MATTERS: Toddlers in Church
A word to the mother following her toddler in church: Solidarity! Studies say that if you have little children, by the time you have arrived to join your colleagues in the workplace, you have already clocked almost a whole day’s work. This I can believe.
FAITH MATTERS: Full of Grace Collective
Reflecting on Easter and the joy that new life brings, my attention turns to the number of young women I know who have recently become mothers. There is such happiness and love when life is brought into the world, it is truly something special and worthy of celebration.
FAITH MATTERS: Awe and Wonder
It is true that I really enjoy audio books. Not that I do not appreciate a tangible book, but I find that I can attend to other tasks such as gardening, housework, cooking, exercise or creating an artwork while I am listening. Tapping into the auditory touches the senses which is very different than visually reading words on a page.
FAITH MATTERS: A strong woman
When Bishop Bill convoked the Diocesan Synod on the Feast of Saint Mary MacKillop we knew that we would turn to her through this period for her patronage, prayers and support.
FAITH MATTERS: 'Be More' - See, Judge, Act
Last month, I read The Dead Eye and the Deep Blue Sea: A graphic memoir of Modern Slavery written and illustrated by Vannak Prum.
FAITH MATTERS: God of the Rice-cooker and Mystical Delights
God is in my every-day; yet to speak of a love-relationship with Him, and put in ‘on view’ is not an easy task. It does, however, give me opportunity to thank the One who so persistently invites me to that place of belonging where I become aware that He loves, comforts and challenges me; who desires my companionship, and through His spirit leads, guides and inspires me.
FAITH MATTERS: Enjoying God
“We seek to glorify and enjoy God as we worship and serve him in our community and further afield.”
