Teresa Brierley is Director Pastoral Ministries of the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.
Alleluia, Jesus is risen, Happy Easter! It is so good to have the alleluia back in our liturgies, such a joyous sound.
Our Holy Week has begun, and on this Sunday night, as I write this message, I am feeling a sense of stillness for what has passed over the weekend.
Diocesan Missionary of Mercy, Fr Richard Shortall SJ, is based at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Hamilton, during Holy Week.
As I sat in the Cathedral for Mass this weekend, I was struck by the readings and the place of the gift of faith in each of them.
Even though I write my message on a Sunday evening, some of you will be reading this on 8 March, International Women’s Day (IWD). This year’s theme is Pledge for Parity.
Today is the 1st of March, the change over from summer into autumn. Like our liturgical seasons, I greet these changes with some expectation.
