Easter Service Times now available on web and app

Easter service times are now available on mn.catholic.org.au and the Diocesan App.

To help plan your Easter weekend, all Mass and service times from each parish are now available.

These include Holy Thursday Mass on 18 April, where the washing of the feet takes place.

Good Friday on 19 April, with Stations of the Cross and the Passion of the Lord.

The Easter Saturday Vigil on 20 April and Easter Sunday Mass on 21 April.

Download the diocesan app to your phone to have the times at your fingertips.

Start by launching the App Store or Google Play store on your smartphone.

Search ‘Mass times’.

Scroll down until you come across the app titled, ‘Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle’ and click ‘get’ or ‘install’. It may ask for the password to your Apple ID or Google Play account.

Once installed, click on the app’s icon.

Once it has launched, you have access to a range of features.

Under ‘Find Mass’ you can search for the location of your local church, or use your current location to find nearby churches. Once you have found yours, you will see all available Mass times listed.

In the ‘Events’ section you can see what events are coming up in the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle. Click on the event to see more information, including its time and location.

In the ‘News’ feature you will be able to read all the latest news from the Catholic Church. Click on any article to read the full story on MNnews.

The app also features a ‘Readings’ section, which displays a daily gospel reading.

For guided prayer, select ‘Pray as you go’, which features daily prayer uploads. Listen to each one direct from the app.

Lastly, listen to Fr Andrew Doohan’s weekly ‘Doohan Discourse’ in the homily section. Select your desired homily and press play to hear the full podcast.
