The three schools started the morning with a Mass presided by Father Gerard at St Francis Xavier’s Church Belmont followed by a sausage sizzle. Primary students (Year 3-6) then walked to Cahill oval to play a range of games. Students were placed into mixed school groups for a round robin of AFL, soccer and T-ball.
It is not very often that we come together as Parish Schools. It was a fantastic opportunity for students across the schools to socialise with each other.
Maggie Hawe stated, “she enjoyed playing sport with the other schools and getting to know everyone ready for high school.” (Year 6 SFX, Belmont)
Jack Ayshford stated, “I enjoyed the Mass as my Mum (Teacher at St Pius X, Windale) and Grandparents were there with me." (Year 6 St Patrick's, Swansea)
