Members of the Catholic Schools Council, Catholic Schools Office, school staff and students filled Sacred Heart Cathedral on Monday for the annual Catholic Schools Week Mass. The theme for this year’s Mass was ‘Encounter: Journeying Together’.
This year’s mass, delivered by Father Greg Barker, spoke to the theme of Encounter, serving as a reminder of our calling to be Easter people – those who are devoted to the lifelong development and strengthening of their immediate and wider community, creating a culture of unity and belonging.
Journeying Together encourages us to accompany others along the road, meeting them where they are at, hearing the things that excite, and those that express their disappointments, and offering fresh hope through the Word and love of God.
