A splash of colour was all that was needed to raise money for the school’s science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) and robotics resources.
With a number of circuits set up around the school for various age groups, students were dressed in white t-shirts while teachers waited at designated spots around the tracks with rainbow colours in hand.
Spraying students with washable paint as they ran and walked passed, the students were transformed into human rainbows by the time they crossed the finish line.
Organised by the school’s sports co-ordinator, Justine Walker, the Colour Run proved to be a fundraising success.
“It’s an awesome day,” said Minister for Sport and Year 6 student Cody Kilpatrick.
“We go out and get some exercise and raise some money at the same time.”
Aptly fitting this year’s school liturgical theme - ‘Let your colours shine’- the event was meet with enthusiasm and excitement from all students. Most, including fellow Minister for Sport and Year 6 student, Maximus Ellis, are hoping they will get to do it all again next year.
